What is Pragmatism?
Pragmatic people choose actions and solutions that are likely to be effective in the real world. They don't get caught up by a set of idealistic theories that may not be achievable in practice.
This article explores three of the principles of pragmatic inquiry. It also provides two case studies of the organizational processes of non-governmental organizations. It asserts that pragmatism is a an effective and valuable research method for studying these dynamic processes.
